Proposed deletion

[edit]

Recreated article after deletion for no content. I am in progress of adding content. I propose that the subject is notable, and that the content now added is worthwhile. I will continue to add content. Please let me know if you have any questions. Jcparsons (talk) 00:10, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm unclear as to why CSD A7 would apply. Ms. Hathaway is expected to be named to a significant position in the Obama administration, and is rumored to be in the running for Cybersecurity Czar. There isn't much information about her available online; I propose that this page contributes to the development of a holistic biography of Ms. Hathaway. Comments? Jcparsons (talk) 00:39, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'd also like to contest any deletion effort - Hathaway has plenty of sources and meets the general notability guideline. --Explodicle (T/C) 00:36, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Claiming that this page's subject is not notable or significant is absurd. There are far more obscure persons listed on Wikipedia than the soon-to-be Chief of Cybersecurity. A public figure who is already a senior intelligence official and will soon be "cyber czar" of the United States is certainly notable enough to have a Wikipedia article on her. --71.105.217.189 (talk) 00:57, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: I point to WP:COMMON. Seriously. Cite as many [a-zA-Z][0-9] criterion for deletion, one must simply state one to block it (refer to Wikipedia:NOT#BUREAUCRACY). We can use WP:NOTE, because like it or not, when the President of the United States Barack Obama mentions you as a potential candidate for such a high office, you are now notable. Or we can simply use WP:IAR to block the deletion and let the admins sort it out. (j/k) Int21h (talk) 01:50, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
